Used shipping and storage containers for sale

20 foot and 40 foot Second hand repaired shipping containers are available to buy from our container centres and depots throughout the U.K.

More than 30 years experience

TITAN have sold used second hand shipping and storage containers to the U.K. market for more than 30 years. We are the direct route from original owners to final users.

Delivery from our local depot stock

We do not like driving further than we have to so we try to have used containers close to where they are required. See our container centres.

We already own what we sell

We most often already own the used containers we offer for sale. We have normally inspected and graded the containers we sell.

There are many in the market who offer 2nd hand containers for sale they believe they can buy IF they sell.

Aside from PREMIUM quality most used shipping containers are typically more than 15 years old when sold by the original owners

20' and 40' containers are
also available as Hi-Cubes

WHAT ARE HI-CUBES?

HiCubes are standard containers with 1 foot extra height so they measure 20' or 40' x 8'0" x 9'6" (LxBxH). They give 10% extra storage space at a slightly higher rental rate but typically with the same transport.

Some shipping lines demand a seperate Shippers Own Certificate and/or photos of each CSC plate. If you are buying or renting containers that are to be used for shipping and logistics please make this 100% clear at the time of order.

What is CSC and why is it important?

All shipping containers carry a CSC Container Safety Convention data plate. All the data showing is essential to the many stakeholders in the international shipping an logistics industry. All containers being used for loaded transport should have a valid CSC data plate.

ACEP and PES

TITAN operate Automatic Container Examination Programme where containers are inspected everytime we see them in a depot. TITAN also update under the Periodic Examination Scheme where maximum validity is 30 months after the containers are 5 years old.

  • If you are shipping certain hazardous cargoes and especially IMCO class 1 explosives there can be additional requirements including containers without any repairs.
  • If you are shipping to Australia and some other countries cleanliness of biological debris inside and beneath the floor might be a requirement.

If you are in doubt - please ask TITAN

HIAB transport and cranage

We operate a very modern fleet of hiab vehicles that are based at our many container centres around the country. Our fleet features from 59 t/m to 95 t/m cranes and includes Euro 6 vehicles for inner city use.

Flexible transport

Our many distinctive yellow and blue hiabs are collecting and delivering containers from Monday morning to Friday evening. If you can be flexible (delivery or collection over 5 working days) then we offer unbeatable transport costs.

Helps your bottomline and the environment

Flexible transport improves our vehicle utilisation helping to reduce our CO2 footprint.

Fixed date transport

We apprecitae sometimes there can be no flexibility and fixed date delivery and/or collection is essential. Needless to say these jobs have priority and the remainder of the vehicles working day is planned around these jobs. Fixed date transport will normally cost somewhat more than the flexible option.

The best value fixed rate transport is within proximity of our Container Centres. More often on Monday mornings and Friday afternoons.
