At TITAN Containers, we believe in giving back to the communities where we live and work. Recently, two members of our Grays, UK team, Aaron and Jordan, stepped up to volunteer with St Luke’s Hospice, an Essex-based charity that provides compassionate palliative and end-of-life care for individuals whose illnesses are no longer curable.
St Luke’s Hospice delivers essential care to ensure dignity and empower patients to make the choices they want, right from the moment they are diagnosed. This life-changing support is made possible through donations, fundraising, and the tireless work of volunteers.
SUPPORTING ST LUKE’S OPERATIONS IN BASILDON
Aaron and Jordan visited the charity’s warehouse in Basildon, Essex, to assist with organising and routing the vast number of items generously donated to St Luke’s. These donations, ranging from electrical devices, clothing to household goods, play a critical role in funding the hospice’s operations through its network of charity shops and online auctions.
TITAN’s volunteers worked alongside the St Luke’s team to help streamline the sorting and logistics processes, ensuring donated items could be efficiently distributed to the right locations. With thousands of items passing through the warehouse, the extra hands were warmly welcomed and made a tangible difference to St Luke’s ability to manage their stock.
THE IMPACT OF OUR SUPPORT
The work carried out by Aaron and Jordan helped St Luke’s maintain the smooth operation of their warehouse, allowing the team to focus on what matters most: supporting patients and families in need. Their efforts contributed to improving efficiency and ensuring that donations could be quickly sold in the charity’s stores to raise vital funds, further supporting the day to day running of St Luke’s facilities, like their new centre below;
