Discover how TITAN’s investment in next-generation cold storage technology has led to breakthroughs that are kinder on the planet than ever before.
TITAN has been a pioneering force in cold storage for more than 20 years, with a signature collection – the ArcticStore range – that is used by thousands of clients worldwide.
This year, our commitment to innovation and sustainability reaches new heights with the launch of a brand-new range of cold storage containers to sit alongside our signature collection. Named ArcticStore Horizon, this new range is engineered to be the most eco-friendly portable cold storage solution ever made.

Available to rent in 20ft and 40ft sizes, ArcticStore Horizon containers come with:
- Advanced Vacuum Insulation Panels (VIPs) that lock in cold temperatures. As a result, the containers in the Horizon collection require up to 30% less electricity.
- Environmentally friendly refrigerants that reduce GWP (Global Warming Potential) levels from more than 2,000 to less than one.
- Solar panels on the container roof to further offset energy use – typically by as much as 25%, and even more in certain locations.
- Water-based paints that eliminate the need for harmful oil-based alternatives.
A GAME-CHANGER FOR REFRIGERATED CONTAINERS
Announcing the collection, TITAN Containers’ CEO Søren Mogensen said: “In today’s world, where sustainability is essential for business, ArcticStore Horizon raises the bar for eco-friendly cold storage. Expertly developed by our in-house technicians, it reduces energy consumption by up to almost 55%, thanks to its advanced vacuum insulation and solar panels installed on rooftops.”
What makes ArcticStore Horizon truly stand out, he added, is its dramatic reduction in Global Warming Potential (GWP), which eliminates the need for harmful F-Gases. “This isn’t just a product,” he said, “it’s a sustainable partnership. As demand for eco-conscious solutions grows, ArcticStore Horizon helps you reduce your carbon footprint while increasing your operational efficiency.”

TITAN’S QUEST FOR INNOVATIVE, SUSTAINABLE SOLUTIONS
Each generation of TITAN’s cold storage containers reaches new heights in innovation. In 2021, for example, TITAN launched a collection named ArcticStore Tropical that required less energy to maintain temperatures as low as -40°C.
The new Horizon collection, however, redefines what’s possible in cold storage. In industries ranging from supermarkets and retail to pharmaceuticals and technology, ArcticStore Horizon will enable clients to easily cut their energy consumption and accelerate their sustainability goals.
