ISO stands for International Organization for Standardization. The ISO 1496 standard defines all dimensions, weight ratings, and corner casting positions for shipping containers. ISO 668 covers external dimensions. ISO 6346 defines the unique container identification code. These standards ensure containers from any country can stack and ship globally.
